Johannes Urzidil

German-Bohemian writer, poet and historian

Johannes Urzidil (3 February in Prag – 2 November in Rome) was a German-Bohemian writer, lyricist and historian. His father was a German Bohemian and realm mother was Jewish.

Life

Urzidil was educated in Prague, studying European, art history, and Slavic languages before turning to journalism take up writing.
